Training on Managing Multistakeholder Processes in the ABS Arena
24-27 May 2011, Douala, Cameroon (Francophone African countries)
The training addressed African facilitators’ need for skills and methods in involving diverse stakeholders in order to implement ABS in Francophone African countries.
ABS implementation at the national level calls for involvement and participation of many different stakeholders, from government agencies, to scientists, to businesses, to indigenous people and local communities, to name a few. Organising large meetings of such diverse actors and facilitating their productive interaction requires specialised skills and methods.
