Negotiation Skills in the ABS Arena

17-19 September and 22-24 September 2008, Windhoek, Namibia

This training aimed at providing participants with the skills to find constructive and sustainable solutions to both bilateral and complex group negotiations in an environmental context. ABS situations and intercultural aspects of negotiating were central themes.

Participants reflected on their own negotiation skills, gaps and weaknesses. They were then provided with tools and methods to enhance their negotiation skills, including exercises for self-analysis, using the Harvard method.

This training was organised by the ABS Capacity Development Initiative for Africa.
