12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP-12)
6-17 October 2014, Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea
The Conference of the Parties is the governing body of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and advances implementation of the Convention through the decisions it takes at its periodic meetings.
For the ABS Initiative the 12th CBD COP-12 was a great opportunity to present its contributions to the implementation of the CBD and the Nagoya Protocol.
With the Nagoya Protocol entering into force, the first Meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol (MOP-1) was being held as part of the COP-12. On the occasion of this COP-MOP, the ABS Initiative gathered with its partners to look back at its activities of the recent years and discuss conclusions from the experiences for the coming project phase.
The ABS Initiative (co-)organized several additional side-events and contributes to side-events organized by partner organizations. You will find the sub-site for the respective events below.
